  1. This video is extremely helpful. I hope you keep posting these. When you mention sugar, are you referring to white refined processed sugar or is cane juice and other sweeteners included? My question is, what is sugar?

    • Thank you for the question. Sugar, especially when it comes to balancing blood sugar, is any refined sweetener that causes an insulin response. Examples include: white and brown sugar, organic cane sugar, honey, high fructose corn syrup, agave syrup, maple syrup and more. Sweeteners that are options to use instead include: Stevia, xylitol, erythritol, and maltitol or other “alcohol” sweeteners. Keep in mind that in high quantities these sweeteners may cause diarrhea.
