Meet Dr Laura Shwaluk, the new breed of doctor.

The material she shares helps her patients begin to take control of their own health and fitness, while dispelling the ever-growing number of fallacies and myths related to this subject. Dr. Shwaluk’s fascinating and refreshing approach to body transformation includes topics on mind-set, nutrition, a unique exercise program and hormone balance.

Dr. Shwaluk practices wellness and functional medicine in Plano, Texas at her “NTC Health and Fitness” center, where she incorporates nutrition, chiropractic, hormone balance, fitness and permanent weight control. Her Bachelor of Science in the field of Cellular, Molecular, and Microbial Biology is from the University of Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Her doctorate is in Chiropractic with certificates in neurology, applied kinesiology, nutrition and functional endocrinology.

Her programs will work for all ages, but offers additional benefits to people aged 45 to 70 years of age. Dr. Shwaluk’s delivery is upbeat and often humorous, whether in a classroom setting or on TV, leaves her audiences with a new sense of excitement and motivation about increasing their health.

Meet Dr. Bryan Asby

Dr. Asby (pronounced Azby) is originally from southeast Wisconsin near Milwaukee. The oldest of four children (3 boys and 1 girl). His sister recently had a boy and so he is now a new uncle.

He graduated from the University of Whitewater Wisconsin (UWW) with a degree in cellular biology and a emphasis in chemistry. He participated in undergraduate research and was able to participate in a research which was published.  After graduating from UWW he attended Palmer Chiropractic College. He was class president, actively participated in several technique clubs, and was member of a professional fraternity. He met his wife the second day of classes and they have been inseparable since. They adopted their dog Lexy and their 3 legged cat Kickstand from shelters while in school. They married in June of 2012. He and his wife both practiced in Des Moines, Iowa prior to moving to Dallas to practice. They have lived in Dallas for 2 years now.

Dr. Asby views each individual person as a separate puzzle that deserves dedicated time and effort to decipher their optimal health physically, mentally, and emotionally. Although there are many good chiropractors, his focus is not solely on chiropractic.  His patients not only benefit from chiropractic, but also from his philosophy of physical, mental, and emotional health.

He is very good at educating our patients on life style habits which strengthen their chiropractic care to help better develop their health.
What motivates him is when he is able to restore health to a patient unable to obtain it elsewhere. When he can help parents suffering from pain be able to play with their children, or when he helps a patient get off medication it gets him so charged he could forget to eat. One of his greatest strengthens is his passion to help my patients reach their optimal health.

Janna Whitton – Tai Chi instructor.  As a certified speech-language pathologist, Janna’s passion has always been to help others. Throughout her life, she has been keenly interested in health, fitness and the mind-body connection. Once she started taking Qigong and Tai Chi classes, learning about and experiencing the many benefits of these beautiful forms, she knew she wanted to share these ancient practices to help others enjoy the benefits as well.Janna is certified to teach Qigong and Tai Chi by Dr. Roger Jahnke of the Institute of Integral Qigong and Tai Chi in Santa Barbara, California. She is certified to teach Tai Chi for Busy People and 4 Minute Fitness by Dr. Keith Jeffery based in British Columbia, Canada. She is also experienced in the practice of traditional Tai Chi Yang Forms such as the 10 Form, 24 Form, 42 Form, 18 and 32 Sword Forms and enjoys sharing these meditation in motion movements with others.
